An agreed divorce: what to settle before court
Author Milica Kovač Attorney, founder · family and inheritance
An agreed divorce is the shortest way: when the spouses agree on everything, the court does not try a dispute, it checks the agreement.
What you agree on
- who the children live with and how they see the other parent
- the amount of support and how it is paid
- the division of joint property
Documents
The marriage certificate, the children's birth certificates, IDs and, if there is any, proof of property.
A court does not accept an agreement about the children that is not in their interest, so we write it carefully.
It usually takes two to three months from filing.
